Update: OIRA has approved VA's Proposed Rule for extension of Legacy Caregiver Eligibility.
Next Step: VA should be publishing the Final Rule to the for Federal Register for review.
VA submitted propose rule to extend legacy cohort to September 2028 for review to OIRA.
On 9/5/2025, OIRA approved the proposed rule as "consitent with changes."

PCAFC Updates and Status
Update: PCAFC has reassured veterans and caregivers that stipends will continue without disruption and reminded participants that payments are typically received by the 5th of each month.
